New roof in Northam, Bideford

A new roof, facias, bargeboards and guttering for Mr Wilson in Northam, Bideford, North Devon.

Roof was completely stripped of the old tiles, felt and batten then recovered with breathable membrane and 50mm x 25mm batten. New brown smooth face Redland Renowns were put on and individual dry verge fitted. A dry ridge system was used to finish off the roof.

New UPVC facias and bargeboards were applied then squareline white guttering and downpipes fixed to complete the job.

Next job , Buckland Brewer and another new roof, look out for the pictures!

Before and After - Tiles to Slates

The above picture was taken BEFORE we started work

The client called us to ask for different options on what could be put on his roof as the old clay tiles had seen better days and there was no insulation in the loft. We took several different tiles and slates as samples and it was decided that Brazilian slates with hook fix would be used. A contrasting terracotta ridge and hip really set the slates off and the client was delighted with his new roof and insulated loft. From start to finish the job took us 7 days which with all the valley and hip cutting was quite good.

This was the excellent result!
